AZIOT devices remember the exact Wi-Fi they were paired to. If you change your router, Wi-Fi name (SSID) or password, the device goes offline until you reconfigure it. It’s a two-minute job.
Steps to move to a new Wi-Fi
- In the Smart Life app, open the device → remove it (‘Remove Device’), or just start a fresh add.
- Put the device back into pairing mode: retrofit switch — toggle the manual switch 7–8 times; plug/touch — hold the button 5–10 seconds. If it won’t enter pairing mode, switch the main MCB OFF 10 seconds then ON and retry.
- Tap Add Device and select the fast-blinking device.
- Choose your 2.4GHz network and enter the new password.
Tips
- Use the 2.4GHz band — not 5GHz (why).
- If you kept the same Wi-Fi name and password on a new router, the device may reconnect on its own after a power reset.
- Moving home? Reconfigure the device on the new Wi-Fi the same way.
Frequently asked questions
I changed my router — why is my AZIOT device offline?
The device is still looking for the old Wi-Fi. Put it back into pairing mode and re-add it in the Smart Life app on your new 2.4GHz network. If the new router uses the same name and password, a main-MCB power reset may reconnect it automatically.
How do I put the device back into pairing mode to change Wi-Fi?
For a retrofit switch, toggle the connected manual switch on/off 7–8 times until it blinks fast. For a plug or touch switch, hold the button for 5–10 seconds. If it won’t enter pairing mode, reset the main MCB for 10 seconds and try again.
