“Hang mode” is when the device freezes — the touch stops responding, or it works from the app but not by touch (or vice-versa). It’s almost always a temporary state you can clear yourself.
1. Power-reset from the main MCB
Switch the main MCB OFF for 10 seconds, then ON. Wait ~20 seconds. This clears the hang and restores touch response in most cases.
2. Reconfigure if it stays frozen
If it’s still stuck, factory-reset the device and re-add it in Smart Life. This reloads its firmware state.
3. Delayed or ghost switching
If a light turns on/off a few seconds after you press, or two channels switch together, that points to a wiring/relay check — re-seat the manual wires by colour and power-reset. If it persists, it needs inspection.
If touch still doesn’t work
If touch remains dead after a reset and reconfigure, the device may need service. Record a short video showing the unresponsive touch and start a warranty claim — our team checks the relay response to confirm.
Frequently asked questions
What does “hang mode” mean on an AZIOT touch switch?
It means the device has temporarily frozen — touch stops responding, or it works from only the app or only touch. Switch the main MCB off for 10 seconds and back on to clear it; most devices recover immediately.
Touch still doesn’t respond after a power reset. What now?
Factory-reset the device and re-add it in the Smart Life app. If touch is still unresponsive, record a short video and raise a warranty claim so we can inspect the relay response.
