AZIOT Device Won't Connect to Wi-Fi? 8 Fixes That Work

If your AZIOT smart device won't connect to Wi-Fi or keeps going offline, the cause is almost always network-related and easy to fix. Work through these eight checks in order.

8 fixes to try

  1. Use 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. AZIOT devices don't support 5GHz. Connect your phone to the 2.4GHz band during setup.
  2. Double-check the password. A wrong Wi-Fi password is the most common cause of failed pairing.
  3. Move closer to the router. Weak signal at the device's location causes drop-offs. Setup near the router, then test.
  4. Switch to AP mode. In the Smart Life app, change the pairing method to AP mode for a more reliable connection.
  5. Enable phone Bluetooth and Location. These help the app discover and configure the device.
  6. Restart your router. Power-cycle the router to clear temporary network issues.
  7. Reset the device. Hold the reset button until the indicator blinks rapidly, then pair again from scratch.
  8. Check router settings. Disable AP/client isolation and reduce overcrowding if many devices share the network.

Still offline?

If a device connects but drops repeatedly, a weak signal or an overloaded router is usually to blame. A Wi-Fi extender near the device often solves it. If the problem persists, contact AZIOT support with the device model and your router details.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my AZIOT device keep going offline?

Usually weak Wi-Fi signal at the device's location or an overcrowded router. Move the router closer, use an extender, or reduce connected devices.

Does AZIOT work on 5GHz Wi-Fi?

No. AZIOT smart devices connect only to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, which also offers better range for smart home devices.

What is AP mode?

AP mode is an alternative pairing method where your phone briefly joins the device's own hotspot. It's more reliable than the default EZ mode on busy networks.

How do I reset my device?

Press and hold the reset button until the indicator light blinks rapidly, then add it again in the app.
