AZIOT Device Showing Offline or Going Offline Randomly? Fixes

AZIOT Device Showing Offline or Going Offline Randomly? Fixes

A device that shows offline (especially when you’re away from home) or drops repeatedly usually has a fixable network cause. Here’s the order to check.

1. Was it paired in Bluetooth instead of Wi-Fi? (most common)

The #1 cause we see: the device was added in Bluetooth mode, so it only works when your phone is nearby and shows offline otherwise. Fix it by removing the device and re-adding it in Wi-Fi mode on your 2.4GHz network.

2. Give it a moment

After a power cut or app refresh, an AZIOT device can take 3–5 minutes to show back online in Smart Life. Pull to refresh the app before assuming there’s a fault.

3. Check internet & power reset

  • Confirm your router/internet is up.
  • Reset the main MCB OFF 10s → ON to re-establish the connection.

4. Frequent random drops?

If it drops often, it’s usually a home-network limitation — see our detailed Wi-Fi fixes guide. In short:

  • Wi-Fi range/signal is weak where the device is installed — a wall switch buried in a metal box far from the router struggles. Move the router or add a 2.4GHz extender.
  • Too many devices on the router — budget routers drop the oldest device when they hit their client limit, pushing your switch offline. Reduce clients or upgrade the router.
  • Test with a mobile hotspot: re-pair to a phone hotspot for a day. If it stays online there, your home router is the cause.

5. Device goes offline after every power cut and needs re-adding?

That’s not normal — share your invoice and the device’s Virtual ID (Smart Life → device → settings) with support and we’ll troubleshoot it directly.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my AZIOT device show offline when I’m away from home?

It was most likely added in Bluetooth mode, which only works near your phone. Remove it and re-add it in Wi-Fi mode on your 2.4GHz network so it stays online from anywhere.

My device keeps going offline randomly. What causes that?

Usually weak Wi-Fi range at the device, or a router at its device limit dropping the oldest client. Test by re-pairing to a mobile hotspot for a day — if it stays online there, your home router is the cause. Move the router closer, add a 2.4GHz extender, or reduce connected devices.

My device shows offline right after a power cut.

Give it 3–5 minutes and refresh the app — AZIOT devices take a moment to reconnect. If it needs re-adding after every power cut, contact support with your invoice and the device Virtual ID.
