Which AZIOT Smart Switch Is Right for You? A Simple Buying Guide

Which AZIOT Smart Switch Is Right for You? A Simple Buying Guide

AZIOT makes a device for almost every switchboard. Here’s how to choose — the main question is how many things you want to control and what they are.

Retrofit smart switches (hide behind your existing board)

These fit behind your current modular switches so the board looks unchanged and your manual switches keep working. Pick by the number of outputs (“nodes”):

  • 1 Node (16A) — one high-load point like a geyser, AC or heavy socket.
  • 2 Node — two lights/fans (small boards).
  • 4 Node — the most popular; controls up to four lights/fans on a typical board.
  • 4 Node Mini — same four outputs in a compact size for tight boxes.
  • 8 Node — large boards / whole-room control.
  • Fan (3+1) / Fan Regulator — when you need fan-speed control, not just on/off.

Touch switch panels (replace the whole plate)

Glass touch panels replace your switch plate for a premium look, with app + touch control. Choose by gang count (1, 2, 4 gang, with fan/socket options). Check the module size your board supports.

Match the load

  • Lights & fans: standard nodes / touch switches.
  • Geyser, AC, motor, heavy socket: a 16A node or an AZIOT 16A smart plug.
  • Plug-and-play, no wiring: AZIOT smart plugs and extension boards.

Other essentials

  • Circuit breakers & voltage protectors — smart MCBs with energy monitoring and over/under-voltage protection.
  • Door locks — fit doors 35–60 mm thick.
  • IR blaster, LED strip/COB controllers, CCTV — for TVs/ACs, lighting and security.

Still not sure?

Tell us what you want to automate (and the appliance wattage for heavy loads) and we’ll recommend the exact model. All AZIOT devices work together in one Smart Life app and with Alexa and Google Home.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between 2, 4 and 8 node AZIOT switches?

The node count is how many separate outputs (lights/fans/sockets) the device controls. 2 node = two points, 4 node = four (the most popular), 8 node = large boards or whole rooms. Choose based on how many switches are on your board.

Which AZIOT device do I need for a geyser or AC?

Use a 16A-rated device — the AZIOT 1 Node 16A smart switch or the AZIOT 16A smart plug. Standard nodes are meant for lights, fans and small appliances.

Do I need to change my switchboard to use AZIOT?

Not for retrofit smart switches — they hide behind your existing modular switches, so the board looks the same and your manual switches keep working. Touch panels, by contrast, replace the switch plate for a new look.
