AZIOT smart devices work with Amazon Alexa, so you can control your lights, fans, and appliances by voice. Once your devices are set up in the Smart Life app, linking Alexa takes just a couple of minutes.
Before you begin
Make sure your AZIOT devices are already added and working in the Smart Life app, and that your Alexa device is set up and online.
Step-by-step
- Open the Amazon Alexa app and go to More → Skills & Games.
- Search for Smart Life and tap Enable to Use.
- Sign in with the same account you use in the Smart Life app and authorize the link.
- Tap Discover Devices. Alexa finds all your AZIOT devices automatically.
- Assign devices to rooms or groups if you like, and you're ready to go.
Voice commands to try
- "Alexa, turn on the living room light."
- "Alexa, turn off the geyser."
- "Alexa, set the bedroom fan to on."
Frequently asked questions
Do AZIOT devices work with Alexa?
Yes. AZIOT smart devices link to Alexa through the Smart Life skill for full voice control.
Alexa can't discover my devices. What now?
Make sure the devices work in the Smart Life app first, then re-run Discover Devices. Re-linking the Smart Life skill also helps.
Can I rename devices for voice control?
Yes. Use a simple, clear name in the Smart Life app or Alexa app so voice commands are easy to say.
Do I need a separate hub for Alexa?
No. AZIOT devices connect over Wi-Fi, so no extra hub or gateway is required.
