Installing an AZIOT Elevate smart touch switch panel is straightforward and fits into a standard Indian modular switchboard. This guide walks you through the process safely, from switching off the mains to pairing your panel in the app.
Safety first: Mains electrical work can be dangerous. If you are not confident, please hire a licensed electrician. Always switch off the main supply before you begin.
What you'll need
- AZIOT smart touch switch panel
- Screwdriver and a small tester
- Your existing 2.4GHz Wi-Fi name and password
- The Smart Life (or AZIOT) app installed on your phone
Step-by-step installation
- Turn off the power. Switch off the MCB for that circuit and confirm with a tester that there is no live current.
- Remove the old switch. Unscrew the existing switch plate and gently pull it out. Take a photo of the wiring before disconnecting anything.
- Identify the wires. You will typically have a Live (L), Neutral (N), and one Load wire per gang. AZIOT smart panels require a neutral wire, which most modern Indian switchboards have.
- Connect the panel. Connect Live to L, Neutral to N, and each appliance load wire to its L1/L2/L3 terminal as marked on the back of the panel.
- Mount and fix. Carefully tuck the wires back, fix the panel to the modular box, and screw it in place.
- Power on. Switch the MCB back on. The panel's indicator will light up, ready for pairing.
Pair the panel in the app
Open the Smart Life app, tap Add Device, put the panel into pairing mode (the indicator blinks rapidly), select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, and follow the prompts. Once added, you can rename each switch and start controlling it by touch, app, or voice.
